Exploring the foothills
Through pastures, grapevines and forests
You don’t have to venture far out of town to find nature at your feet. As you head out of Brixen, you’ll encounter meadows, grapevines and eventually dense forests, all interspersed with little villages dotted throughout the countryside. Their small guesthouses are a brilliant place to stop and refuel with a plate of stuffed pasta or a slice of apple strudel and a coffee. Tip: In autumn, go on a Törggelen hike to sample a range of local specialities.
