Museums in Brixen
From a touch of the divine to pharmacy history
Brixen has a wealth of cultural and historical sites. The Diocesan Museum in the magnificent baroque Hofburg palace displays a collection of religious art from the medieval period all the way up to the 20th century. Another interesting place to visit is the Pharmacy Museum, which can be found tucked away on the second floor of Peer Pharmacy in the picturesque Adlerbrückengasse near the banks of the Eisack river. Drawing on the example of a Brixen-based family of pharmacists, the fascinating exhibition looks back at 400 years of pharmacy history. All you need to know about Brixen’s museums.
