THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH, 2023
The light installation consists of blue glowing flexible LED neons that snake around the fountain. The light lines symbolise the powerful, healing effect of the spring water. The interactive light installation unfolds its full effect as soon as you approach the fountain head-on.
The colour of individual LEDs changes and the "rejuvenation" takes effect. The light installation refers to the painting DER JUNGBRUNNEN by Lucas Cranach the Elder from 1546 and thematises the everlasting desire for healing and rejuvenation, which is propagated especially in social media.
