The facade of the Hofburg is illuminated with light effects designed by the French light artists Spectaculaires – the creators of Soliman’s Dream – and the Ukrainian artist Julia Shamsheieva.

    Since the show involves projections on the three facades of the Hofburg, it is best experienced standing. Limited seating is available for people with disabilities. If needed, staff on-site can provide a chair free of charge.

    Yes, strollers are allowed.
  10. Will food and drinks be available on-site?
    No, there will be no food or drink vendors on-site. However, the Christmas market is within walking distance and offers food stalls. Drinks and food are not allowed during the light and music show.

    No, smoking is prohibited in the courtyard of the Hofburg. As it is a museum, the same rules apply outdoors as indoors.

  1. Where can I buy tickets?
    Tickets can be purchased online from mid-October on the official website:

    Tickets are also available on-site at the ticket stand at Hofburgplatz and at the Brixen Tourist Office (Regensburger Allee 9). Additionally, partner hotels offer vouchers for the light and music show directly at the hotel.
  2. Can I reserve tickets as a private individual?
    No, tickets cannot be reserved.
  3. Can I purchase tickets as a gift voucher?
    Yes, vouchers can be purchased directly at the Tourist Office or by emailing info(at)brixen.org.
  4. Is the ticket tied to a specific day and time
    Yes, the ticket is valid for the show booked.
  5. Are there discounted tickets for people with disabilities?
    Yes, there are discounted tickets for people with disabilities. Here is the price list
  6. Do children need a ticket?
    Children under 6 years old have free entry. Here is the price list.
  7. Do I need to print my ticket?
    No, digital tickets are accepted
  8. I can’t find my ticket. What should I do?
    If you can’t find your online ticket, check the SPAM folder in your email or contact the customer service of Ciaotickets to check if the purchase was completed. If you purchased the ticket through Brixen Tourism (in physical form) and lost it, unfortunately, the ticket cannot be refunded as the purchase cannot be traced.
  9. Can I transfer my tickets to another person?
    Yes, tickets are transferable.
  10. Are refunds possible? What is the exchange policy?
    For online purchases, please contact Ciaotickets for refunds. For on-site ticket purchases, please contact info@brixen.org within 24 hours before the event. A service fee of €1.00 applies for cancellations.

Groups

  1. Are there group discounts?
    Yes, there are discounts for groups of 20 or more people. Here is the price list.

  3. How do I pay for the tickets after reserving them?
    Tickets must be paid for in advance via bank transfer and can then be picked up on-site. Contact info(at)brixen.org.
  4. Are there free tickets for group leaders?
    For groups of more than twenty people, the group leader receives a free ticket.
  5. Where can the bus park?
    The bus parking is located at Brixen Süd on Fischzuchtweg between Club Max and the MPreis supermarket.
  6. Where can the coach drop off and pick up guests?
    The group can be dropped off and picked up at the short-term parking zone for coaches at the entrance to Regensburger Allee.

Access

  1. Is the event child-friendly?
    Yes, the show is suitable for children.
  2. When should I arrive?
    At least 10-15 minutes before the show starts.
  3. What happens if I arrive late?
    Late entry is allowed up to 10 minutes after the show starts – however, the show cannot be restarted from the beginning.
  4. What items are prohibited?
    Large bags, food, drinks, and umbrellas are prohibited.
  5. Are there toilets on-site?
    Toilets are available at the Christmas market on Domplatz.
  6. Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
    Yes, the venue is wheelchair accessible.
  7. Can I bring pets?
    No, pets are not allowed, as the courtyard is part of a museum and the sound and lights could disturb the animals.
  8. Are there parking facilities?
    Yes, there are parking facilities nearby:

  9. Can the show be seen in bad weather?
    The light and music show takes place in all weather conditions. Rain or snowfall does not affect the projections. In case of extreme weather, a cancellation will be communicated in advance.

  1. Can I take photos or record the show?
    Photos and videos of the show are allowed. Photos must be taken without flash. It is not allowed to use the content for promotional purposes afterward. When sharing images and videos on social media, feel free to tag @visitbrixen and use the hashtag #colors.
  2. Is there a lost and found service?
    Lost items are collected at the ticket counter on Hofburgplatz. After 24 hours, personal documents and valuables are handed over to the local police.
  3. Do you offer sponsorship opportunities?
    Yes, it is possible to support the event as a sponsor. Please email info@brixen.org.
